I had a fitting in December (Gatwick golf studio) which I found really interesting and the results of where I strike the ball with the putter and the actual stroke used was consistent over 90% of the time.
They found I didn't need a new putter and was very good with what I was using however...
In rough today playing companion moves a lump of mud an inch or so from behind ball but ball somehow then rolled backwards as was on slope.
He called one shot pen and replaced ball where it was (only playing for beers) but should he of of also replaced lump of mud?
Fine if you moved from Taylormade to a Callaway sponsorship and get them for nothing, otherwise I'd say you have way too much money burning a hole in your pocket. Could you actually tell the callaways apart when you hit them?
Very silly of me but I had one of these and gave it to my dad when updated my bag last year and he loves it so can't really ask for it back so if anyone has one that they no longer require ideally in a regular shaft then I would like very much to take it off your hands for a reasonable price.
I was lucky enough to be chosen for this and enjoyed a great day at West Hill today. I thought my course was in good condition but this was amazing for the time of year.
The new waterproofs I received are also lovely and definitely do what you would expect for the price if you bought them but...
My bag at the moment has no 4 or 5 iron but 2xtip 9 irons so glad I'm not the only one. Always use the old one in bunkers full of stones or from paths when a drop option is not a good drop.
Really pleased with todays 6 over par 77 as was made up of 12 pars and 6 bogies as have been carding way too many doubles and the odd triple lately.
CAT 1 not going to happen this year but i am definitely making better choices on the course and so much more confident round the greens since...
Only two since I joined my club about four years ago. One a par 5 that I chipped in from the edge of the green and the over a 7 iron approach from 140 odd yards on a par four which I hit with a massive hook (15 yards atleast offline)and threw the club down in disgust however must of got a major...
Funnily enough not exactly going to plan but did manage my 1st handicap reduction when winning the medal this week with a 79. However was 1 over after 9 so showing definite signs of improvement/more consistency but quite often putting a triple on the card still.
I feel bad reading this as ive gone from the MP 25's to the 900 hot metals and ive got down to 8 again. Lost all confidence with the better player irons and the par 3's were killing my game as for instance a 6 iron would go anything between 125-170. Fair play to you higher handicappers able to...
