Advice ? Spend all day there. Get there early for breakfast, time on the practice area and then a great round of golf. Rounded off with dinner and a pint.....after destroying the credit card in the pro shop
Enjoy...not jealous at all...nope, not one bit !
Improve my putting
Improve my greenside up/down ratio
Replicate my iron draw with my woods ( and find more fairways)
Cut 1.5 strokes via the above.
But mostly keep enjoying this great game and my time on the course.
6 holes around a frosty home course. Concentrating on swing and strike which both pleasantly surprised me
Off to book my new year's lessons though...a frenzy of putting and short game !!
Good luck in 2017 y'all
Yes, and the is the reason I have never bought brand new woods or irons (only took the plunge on wedges and putter)
I would rather buy last seasons gear and invest the difference in lessons
But I can fully understand the allure of new clubs...I just cant legitimise the cost.
Standard end of year post..
Reflecting on this year, and the courses you have played ?
Here are my votes...
Toughest - Carnoustie - GM Forum trip - She chewed me up and spat me back out. I was taught a golfing lesson by the course that day.
Best Greens - East Renfrewshire - There were others...
Clydeway stock Nike, Scottys, SeeMore and Pings. In fact I'm down there for another putting lesson tomorrow evening.
A great bunch of guys to deal with, and the have SAM lab hooked up in a great indoor space.
Recommended.
I put a 24 deg hybrid in the bag as a long iron replacement. Dropped the 4-iron and now have a very comfortable go to club for longer approachs. Easy to hit and sft landing.
A good ball and deffo deals to be had. The Black is a very solid replacement for the Prov VX whilst the Platinum offers a touch more softness alike the ProV.
