    Did my eyes deceive me!!??

If you saw it too then he must of done it although I’m still shaking my head???? I just cant understand how they hit it so much harder. I’m 6ft tall, 13st and have technically a very good swing and yet it must be full of power leaks when you consider what Lee and others can do, they do play...

Speed of play at the Masters

Off a good handicap like 3.6 you would be lucky to break 90 round Augusta so don’t knock it till you have tried it! Remember that its not a race! Cookie

    But can she putt?

Move the clip onto 2 minutes and 30 seconds, downswing and at impact the positions she gets into are very impressive and probably as good as yours but probably better, yes she has faults in her swing but the looseness she swings with and some of the basic positions should be admired, admired...

check my golf swing video - part 2

Learn to hold the finish until the ball has landed with all shots including bad ones. If the side on view is correct it looks like the ball position is to far back (about 2 inches) and your hands are well forward effectively turning the 5 iron into a 3 and the ball position looks inconsistent...

    Matchplay smatchplay...

As said, if you get shots use them but generally stick to your own game as if its stroke play. The main difference I think is when putting, if you have a putt to half the hole, don’t be short, never up never in as the saying goes! Cookie

Pulling the ball left - why ?

Set up as normal and then try to hit the ball right of target, a head cover placed about 18 inches behind the ball will help as you will have to hit from the inside to miss the head cover but still hit the ball. Cookie

Yes of course you can as with the driver. Cookie

Teeing it up on par 3's

By hitting away from the effective hitting area you will strike it weaker with too much spin and a glancing blow and so I think with less compression and loose the penetrating ball flight that we should look for. Cookie Cookie

all iron shots pushed to the right?

It could be ill fitting clubs with the lie being incorrect! Get them checked. If the toe is coming down heavy it will open the club face at impact. Cookie

    Take away on an Iron

As a rule the full swing including the takeaway should be the same for every club, only posture, stance and ball position should change as the shaft length increases and so the angle of attack changes. Ball position is probably the second most important thing as far as shot direction is...

Teeing it up on par 3's

Absolutely correct, the correct angle of attack for a iron is a slightly desending blow, the shorter the iron the steeper the attack. So a tee height of ¼-½ of an inch is about right for all iron shots. If you tee it much higher than this you will loose compression on the ball and so hit...

    Swing Reconstruction!!

You should judge the length of your backswing by your shoulder turn and not where the club goes. The difference between your hip and shoulder turn is a main source of power and as long as you stretch your muscles you will have plenty to hit the ball with. Don’t wait to have the lessons book...
