Finished the year at 12.3 a bit short of the 9.9 target but moving in the right direction (at last), won a singles and a pairs (greensomes) along the way so not so disappointed at missing the target. Still get called a bandit though :-D
Bought the Nike Lunar control2 about 8 weeks back, they are really light and comfy and give good stability. cheapest at the time was european golf.
I always had FJ's previously but have had a lot of heel trouble in the last couple of years, for me the Nike's fit better around the heel without...
Gary, many moons ago that pond at the side of the 16th was a sort of rough bunker, it had been dug out but had no sand and was left to be overgrown. It was always tricky cos you had no control over the ball when (if) it came out. At least you could play it, not like in the pond!
I have a 52 and a 58 that replaced some vokey wedges, for me they have a softer feel than the vokeys, mark up a little easier, just cosmetic (I've had them since last summer) and give me a slightly lower flight. All in all very happy with them.
My first medal today as well, not til 14:30 though, i'm warming up by going shopping with my daughter  just need to make sure i've got enough left for entry fee!
It really is horses for courses, I don't really like the way TM (and others) constantly update/replace their ranges with all the hype that accompanies each change, but I tried some of their kit (RBZ, R11s FW and 11 rescue) and currently have them in the bag.
If it works for you then go with it...
If the ground is dry'ish then I'll use a premium ball (Zstar, pro V etc) that I buy when there on offer, in the winter or when the course is wet through then as long as it feels nice and soft I'll use it (Srixon soft feel, NXT tour s). I do like to use the same ball for a period of time because...
Had a similar problem, also died a couple of times, checked all the connections and found one on the battery was a bit loose after tightning I had no more probs, battery is now 4 years old still going strong. Only charge it the night before I need it.
Really interesting to see you think like this, will be good to see what your results are.
Its just a case of having a plan and sticking to it, your 7th is a candidate for leaving the driver in the bag (3 bunkers left OOB right 400 yds), since I left Beedles I leave the driver in the bag more...
I agree with the 220 carry being good opinion, my regular pairs partner carry's around 220 I'm a bit longer usually, I'm off 14 he's off 4 (and he doesn't putt that well!)
Have changed all my woods over the winter, mainly shaft issues have gone to stiff from regulars, was fitted for stiff in my irons a couple of years ago but perservered with regs in the woods. I'm already seeing a lot less of the left side of the course.
Funny thing is I tested the R11 when it...
I used to swear by my mizuno jpx hybrid but the shaft is quite 'soft' in reg and its a bit draw biased as well, recently was fitted for a TM rescue in stiff and really like it.
