Where do you store your golf clubs/equipment?

In the car at all times. Semper paratus!

    My body's broken....

Back when you were able to do 36 holes a day, I bet you were more active and stronger because you did more things outside of golf. I'm 'only' 40, but, having always played a lot of sport at reasonable level, I imagine the wear and tear on my body is more than most of my age, and I definitely...

    What to do...newbie stress

Hardest part of the game IMO, but I give myself ten paces to think about the last shot - bad or good - counting them out in my head and actively trying to dissolve the memory. Doesn't always help but often does.

Against the spirit of the game?

Ugh, hard on both of them.

    Kevin Na's trousers

I don't think Kevin Na and his pace of play should be held up as encouraging youngsters into the game, but I liked his strides.

    Shaft in a driving iron?

I got one of those Cobra utility clubs / driving irons and had a steel shaft, couldn't get on with the graphite, I'm sure it's in my head because I've had the same with hybrids, but with a graphite shaft I was forever tugging shots.

    Honours Boards

We have loads of them, and pictures of each past captain. Meh, take em all down and use the cost savings for a practice bunker, God knows most of us need one

    Embarrasing.

One and only time I threw a club in anger, meant to throw it towards my bag but got caught in two minds and tried to stop myself, what that resulted in was holding onto the handle longer until the centrifugal force wrenched it out of my hand on a much higher trajectory, sailing into the gorse...

    When is it time?

I did a flexible membership as others say here. I play every week, and it still works out more cost effective, plus I can play other courses without feeling like I'm being charged twice. I don't want to only play one course. I honestly don't understand how people who work full-time can get the...

What's you club most famous for...

I dunno, it used to host the Europro but hasn't for a while. It's a relatively new course so doesn't have a lot of history. It always figures in the top 10 winter courses lists, I guess that's probably what it gets most recognition for.

Halfway huts - how good is yours? (if you have one)

Our 9th green is about 50 yards tops from the clubhouse but we still have a halfway hut to the side of the tee boxes on the 10th. I guess that makes it easier to staff the hut? I don't know what food they do as I don't like to eat during a round, I think the usual bacon baps and soup and stuff...

    Off to Turkey - advice

    It was raining snakes

Dress Code - Who is responsible?

Yep. And that's fine. I hate the image of golf sometimes, and there's a big correlation between the tie and blazer set and the Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden crowd. I'm sure that's a sweeping statement but I stand by it. And I'm sure none of them are weeping at the thought of losing me as a...

    Off to Turkey - advice

In 20 years of visiting Turkey and playing golf almost every time I've never even seen a snake. Scorpion, yes (once, and it was a big one which for some reason I think are less painful and therefore less dangerous than the little ones). But the worst things there are mosquitoes...

For those in need of a chipper

Anything is a good idea if it helps make the game easier and accessible, I have a lot of friends who I would dearly love to play golf with, who try it and just find the curve too steep. I also am aware of people who view my hybrid and utility iron as 'cheat' clubs :)
