Wrong tee penalty should be removed ?

Thanks for your responses. The part of Rule 6 which caused me the concern was that if the stroke off the tee did not count, and it was not rectified then would all subsequent strokes be void? I think the thrust of Appendix J is that they are void. Thanks both.

Wrong tee penalty should be removed ?

Thread revived. Rule 6, played from wrong tee, not rectified. The players are DQd. Decision made. But, from what I can see I have to put scores into the software (Handicap Master) to be able to generate a formal DQ notice. So its either put no scores in and sent a footnote that XYZ are...

    Leaves, Local rule

You can only try, we include in the LR: "Players are asked to exercise good and fair judgment in these situations and not seek to gain an unfair advantage, ie it is virtually certain (95%) fellow players saw the ball drop in the Abnormal Course Condition". It is only the start of the winter...

    Handicap Review

wje, As always thanks for your assistance. Guidance is in the Rules of Handicapping 2024. The v2.7 omits Appendix D.

    Handicap Review

https://www.randa.org/roh/appendices Yes Appendix D is there and has been modified to become (as expected) even more unclear and convoluted than before. No link or list of any WHS platform reports to run. Are the following the reports I need to run: Handicap Review Report, Soft Cap/Hard...

    Handicap Review

Surprised there has not been more discussion on this topic, perhaps there is another thread. Where is the new Appendix D Handicap Review? The Committee Actions pages 70/74 also gone? Would someone kindly point me to the new official guidance as to how to conduct a Handicap Review which lists...

    Multi Tee Competitions

Thanks for the replies. Next question regarding the organisation of a mixed tee comp. If you were sending 3 player groups out would you have say one off the white tees and two off the yellows in the same 3 ball? The obvious risk for older golfers is them accidently playing off the wrong...

    Multi Tee Competitions

We are in a semi autonomous mens senior section its a short course with Whites and Yellow tees rated. As a group we are getting older mostly 70`s and 80`s. We are going to run a few trial mixed tee games to test the water. Reason is that some of our older members are finding it too difficult...

    New course rating

Recommended stroke index allocation methodology is at Appendix E R&A Rules. Triad method of stroke index allocation. Question please: We are passing our winter course measurement certificate to County for them to Course, Bogey and Slope rate it separately for men and women. Should we as a...

    Gender Free/Neutral Tees

We are moving to "CR-Par" in April 2024 (?). 1. So will we still need to use the mixed tee adjustment facility if men and women play off the same tees which have been separately C and S rated for both sexes? 2. Course Handicap adjustment for such a comp post April 2024 using CR-Par? 3...

I will write your reply for you: "Good luck with that".

Wrong score for a hole R3.3b

Thanks. I would go on to insert into your statement: " The player is responsible for 18 individual hole scores (they do not have to be accurate scores) and two signatures on his scorecard" As can clearly be seen in the example above the player submitted incorrect scores on three holes and...
