    Gender Free/Neutral Tees

We are moving to "CR-Par" in April 2024 (?). 1. So will we still need to use the mixed tee adjustment facility if men and women play off the same tees which have been separately C and S rated for both sexes? 2. Course Handicap adjustment for such a comp post April 2024 using CR-Par? 3...

Wrong score for a hole R3.3b

Thanks. I would go on to insert into your statement: " The player is responsible for 18 individual hole scores (they do not have to be accurate scores) and two signatures on his scorecard" As can clearly be seen in the example above the player submitted incorrect scores on three holes and...

Wrong score for a hole R3.3b

Thanks everyone. This for me has opened up a huge can of worms, they just keep emerging the more I discuss this with members of my H.C. I will kick it off tomorrow. Here is a clue, see post #2.

Wrong score for a hole R3.3b

BTF Excellent. Thank You. Therefore in the situation in the O.P. In stroke play the Player is DQd. In Stableford he is not DQd because the score the Player signed for did not result in any points being awarded. If either of the two scores would have resulted in Stableford points being...

3.3b if your returned score for a hole is lower than your actual score or no score is returned for a hole you are disqualified. Its a 3 player group, individual comp. The three players swap cards. Par 3: Marker scores 6 for his Player. The Player records 7 as his score for this hole acting as...

    Winter rules mud on ball

Thank you for the responses. We are using LR E3 preferred lies during the winter. Our club local rules also allow LR E2 mud on ball lift clean and replace to be used on a comp by comp basis depending on state of the course. The start sheet is to specify when this rule is also in force.

    Winter rules mud on ball

England Golf winter check list: Winter rules from 1st October. Lift clean and place closely mown area within 6" etc. Ques: Ball not on a closely mown area it is off the fairway, it has mud on it. Can you lift clean and replace (replace) in same spot and still handicap the round? There...

Do volunteers doing jobs on course need insurance?

Sort of jobs would be general labouring tasks, eg weeding, edging, banking sand in bunkers, cutting back brash, low lying branches, litter picking, divot filling and clearing, repairing animal damage etc. We are looking at non comp days for members and probably off peak times. Do any posters...

Winter course length and temp greens

Near Hull, The question was 1 yard on one hole. I know what I would do. And your course fully complies? Question: Does your course have an officially rated set of winter tees? Or do you continue to use the grass tees 365 days a year? They must be very worn. Or do you mix and match...

Winter course length and temp greens

Rulefan`s edit in the second post refers to Standard Scratch Score which is obviously pre WHS. So if there is no discretion I would guess the vast majority of clubs putting handicapping rounds in during the winter are breaking the strict rules. And I doubt any have applied for course...
