I've just written this up in a fairly lengthy blog post over on Project Scratch, so please check this out in more detail over there. But in essence my coach has given me a set of tips he says should avoid overcomplicating a lot of the learning at this early point in my development and allow me...
This is going to be a hugely tough challenge - and of course there is a big possibility neither of us do it. But even if that is the case, at the end of it we're going to have two guys who will have improved massively at their game and charted that improvement all the way through. And who knows...
I think I've maybe got too hang up on how I'm getting there, and perhaps lost sight of the fact that it's enough to just get there at all. I'll work on my pitching wedge and try to master that before worrying.
Cheers guys.
Yeah I enjoyed it a lot. It's quite hilly and one or two holes where you play up the hill which I found quite tricky, but overall was very nice and well maintained. I'll definitely go back.
So when not posting on this forum, I've found an excellent game to kill a bit of time online.
www.worldgolftour.com - great graphics and can be played in your browser, it's pretty cool.
Apologies if people already know about this!
Oh, and I'm definitely not affiliated in any way with whoever...
Some great advice - thanks guys. I'm definitely a high handicapper, only been playing 6 months as a guest member at various courses so actually I haven't calculated a handicap yet, hence I'll say it's 28 for now. But having had lessons for the last 6 months or so, I do feel I've been improving a...
Some good tips guys - thanks for the responses.
Working on 40-70% shots I think is going to become a priority for me soon. I'm getting reasonably consistent at full hits but definitely struggling when it comes to shorter shots.
I think I'll have a word with my teacher on Sunday and work on...
I currently have a Pitching wedge and Sand wedge in my bag, but have lately been toying with the idea of buying myself a lob wedge.
My regular playing partner has one and I’ve “procured†it a couple of time down the range. Now I’m no golfing pro but the “feel†of it is great. It...
Knew there was a reason to join! Hehe - I'm still a golfing newb so bear with me!
I mostly play on courses around Essex/Hertfordshire - Hobbs Cross, Woodford, Picketts Lock, Loughton as well as one near Lowestoft when I go away to Suffolk (family holiday).
10 shots shaved and not a ball hit...
Just wanted to introduce myself. I've started playing golf just this year taking one lesson per week. I've not played enough to have a handicap yet but wow, what a game. I'm totally and utterly addicted.
Anyway, I'll see you all around the forum :D
