Is there ANYTHING over the hill pros' won't advertise?

Look at it this way......if you were the pro and offered a vast sum of money for something as easy as advertising a set of clubs, ball finder or whatever, would you not take it? I know I certainly would, and I wouldn't care less what anyone in the golfing world thought of it.

    Ouch

I almost hit a person in the group in front off the tee a few weeks ago. I could hardly believe it as it was my home course on the 17th, and the group were about 40-50 yards of where I would usually drive to. We waited on the tee for them to play their shots from this area, and they were well...

    Steve Williams

Is it correct that he is the highest paid 'sportsman' in NZ due to the 10% cut he gets of all Tigers winnings? I heard this a while ago but wasn't convinced.

    Walker Cup

I was talking to a marshal on the course who is a member and he said it was easy enough to get a round as a visitor, except at weekends. He informed us that he can take visitors out for £18, as opposed to over £100 otherwise!

    Walker Cup

Muttleee, I started a thread on this about a week ago! Was there on Sunday, and it was a great day. The course was in absolutely tremedous condition, I was in awe of how well the greenkeepers had looked after it. There wasn't a single blade of grass out of place on the fairways and greens...

    Walker Cup

Thanks for the advice, I'll take it into account. I'd say the likely scenario is that the waterproofs will be needed! It's interesting to see that both teams have an older player (US-35, GB&I-39) then the next oldest is 23 in each team. Is there a rule regarding this? Have yet to play the...

    Walker Cup

Is anyone here going next weekend? I'm only able to make the Sunday due to football commitments on Saturday, but looking forward to it. It will be my first 'live' golf experience so not too sure what to expect.

    Selling clubs on ebay

I see you've been a member for over three years without any activity John! If you are wary of eBay, don't be as it has saved me a fortune in regards to clubs. All my clubs have been bought from it and I believe I have saved in the region of £700-£800 at least in putting the set together. I...

What's the funniest name of a golf pro?

Has to be Boo Weekly. Parents must have been very drunk when naming him.

    What's in YOUR bag??

I'm your Pinnacle Exception man, JezzE. I first came across them when I got a sleeve given to me when purchasing a bag in my pro shop. All my mates laughed when I put it on the tee (Pro V players, all higher handicap than myself) but they weren't laughing when they seen the effect it had on my...

US Open -where's the smart money going?

My mate put £20 on Cabrera at the start of the second day, got him at 25-1! He only put the bet on because I told him I'd placed a few bets on it, lucky sod.
