Cheers everyone, the one let down was off the tee, which ironically has been good recently! one of the (maybe 5) good drives I hit rolled onto the green of a 280 odd yard par 4. Typically I bottled it and it was one of the few 3 putts of the day. onwards and upwards (or downwards suppose :))
I have a 3 and 4 hybrid took me a while to get used to them but I'm hitting the 4 pretty well now but dont use the three that often. I also carry a 5 wood.
I posted a thread late last week about my quest to get round in under 90 shots. I didn't make it on Saturday (93) and shot 97 yesterday :( . Had a day off work today and wasn't going to play until I got a lunchtime text from a mate looking for a game. The result: out in 42 and back in 45...
haha cheers
Well its still eluding me, 91 today. I started badly, out in 50 but came back in 41 for a 91! the seven on the first cost me!
playing again on Sunday and might be able to sneak in a round late on tomorrow.
Heading out in an hour or so, confidence is high which is a big thing for me, but trying not to put too much pressure on. Hopefully get a good round in but just happy its going in the right direction, for now :)
With mates £1 per par 3 (closest to pin)
Also stared playing split 6s when in a three ball with each point worth 10p or 20p so £3.60 or £7.20 per head goes in the pot and your points total x £0.10 or £0.20 back at the end. Not big money, more for bragging rights etc :)
With work £5 or...
I set myself the goal of breaking 90 this year. I've done it before but only on two trips round a very short nine hole course so don't really count it. After a few months of things going wrong and me struggling to stay under 100 my last two rounds have been 92 and 90. there's definitely shots I...
Other for me! Would like to see garcia or rose win but will stick a few £ e/w on oleson as I see him getting majors at some point and his 6th place at the masters got me some cash back :)
I seem to lose a lot of distance in the range, could this be down to the balls? I Only recently started thinking about the type of ball I was playing with as I used to lose too many to justify buying decent ones!
Seems controversial :) do pros really care about pro ams? Surely if their winning or losing is dependant on the amateurs they are drawn to play with then its not something they can be judged on either way? I kinda thought that the pros scores would determine an individual pro winner.
