Re: As no one else has mentioned it !!!!!!!!! Come on TIGER!!!!!!!!!!
He has also changed his loft apparently on the driver to 10deg, although he was hitting more 3 woods off the tee than driver.
His last 2 approach shots were just fantastic and it was his best driving performance for years...
Whilst the Wirral has many fine courses, most of them still charge a joining fee, with the subs around about £850 - £1000 per year.
When I enquired about Bromborough at the turn of the year the joining fee was £1500 and subs around the £1000 mark. I played the course there many years ago...
This is like my story, really wanted the R9 but after hitting various drivers the G10 was also best for me, although I have the slight fade version!!!
Noticed a big difference into the wind and when it is hit it stays hit and gives a nice feedback on contact
Yes I am still a member and agree with both Andy and Tony.
The course does have massive potential and is a stern test of golf, not only on the holes but the fact the wind usually blows normally quite hard.
It does need some TLC but I have seen improvements since March and the course now looks...
I have used the 1-2-3 count of 1 on the backswing 2 at the top and 3 for impact, which ahs helped slow my swing down.
In fact must try this again come to think about it as I tend to snatch at longer clubs at the moment, particularly 3 wood off the deck
I've just been custom fitted for a new driver as although this is probably my strength, I was concerned about the lack of distance into the wind and trying to reduce the bad slice that rears its ugly head from time to time.
I had my heart set on the R9 after hitting it previously. However, spin...
Never had a golf lesson in my life and tend to know what I have done wrong if I hit a bad shot.
Saying that I have only taken up the game again in the last 18 months after a 10 year gap and have toyed with the idea of taking the plunge and having a lesson, but have a horrible fear that if any...
Woolie hat in the winter if its cold, baseball cap in the summer if the suns out and it is warm as if I don't I resemble a plucked turkey, and for the rain I have a waterproof cap.
I've hit the R9 in anger now a couple of times and been really impressed with it. The contact was better than my current driver and the flight seemed more penetrating.
I also hit the R7 Ltd and Ping G10 and was also impressed with these but felt that the feel of the R9 was better - just have...
Stand a bit more open, ball back in the stance, close the club face slightly, grip down the club a bit more and three quarter swing and follow through.
When I do this I always get a sweeter strike - might adopt this all the time!!
Am looking to change my driver and have swung the new R9 a couple of times now and been impressed with it. Feel more comfortable with the smaller head and had more centered strikes.
Does anyone have one/tried one and what did you think?
Would you say he is always sneaking it, lucky at times the other players collapse - or that when the chips are down and the shot needs to be played he always pulls it off.
In any sport at the top level the margins between winning and losing are so fine but when he is is contention and faced...
Its rare if it isn't windy at my club, and at times I have had to play 4 clubs more into the wind to reach the green.
Need to work on a punch shot but everytime I try and do as I have read or seen I make a really sweet contact and the ball flies normally - more practive needed.
The topped shot...
