Qualifiers should be played throughout the year. Playing golf in all conditions gives a truer reflection of ability.

It's winter golf, you use a mat, or you tee it up on the best piece of grass within the vicinity of your ball. If everybody does that...

Wont be long now before mats are put away until the end of the year, at my club we do advocate using a mat anywhere in the general area...

You’ll get used to it. Far easier hitting a fairway wood off a short pile Spurk than any fairway.

That is something that should not be done and was in the CONGU manual at least 15 years ago when I first joined the committee.
